We have missed you all so much and cannot wait to see you and catch up. We know a lot of you have been anticipating the re-opening of salons and spas again, while some of you may not be ready to come back yet and that is totally OK!! This information is to inform you of all the safety precautions the state has mandated for the re-opening of Spa Sweet.
On Wednesday, May 20th the MN Employment and Economic Development Board announced the reopening of all non-critical sector businesses for June 1st. However, this can only take place with proper development and implementation of COVID-19 preparedness plans. Please know our number one priority is to create a positive and SAFE environment for you when you decide to visit the spaagain.
Although we finally got the green light to open, there will be some changes made, so we can do our part to keep everyone safe. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine things, as we know, it has changed drastically and will continue to do so for future months. We ask that you please bear with us as we try to navigate this “new way” of doing things to keep everyone as safe as possible. We respect and value your time and ask for your cooperation and patience. As we identify what works and what doesn’t work we’ll be making the necessary changes to ensure Spa Sweet is running as smoothly as possible to provide you with the best experience. This commitment requires the full cooperation of our clients and employees. Together we can maintain a healthy and safe environment.
The guidance for personal care services sanitation rules and regulations for the disinfection of implements, stations, etc. are set forth by the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology (https://mn.gov/boards/cosmetology/). We will be following all rules and regulations by the state that include cleaning/sanitizing/disinfecting surfaces and high touch point areas each day. This includes but is not limited to when we open/close and between each client. We have extended appointment times to allow for proper sanitation. At Spa Sweet, we have always used EPA (hospital-grade disinfectant required by the board) and will continue to use it along with other approved disinfectants that kill bacteria on surfaces.
Please abide by the State Mandating Social Distancing rule of 6 feet or more at all times (for both indoor and outdoor locations) when applicable.
All clients are required to wear masks. This is a requirement from the Governor’s Order, The Minnesota Board of Cosmetology, and the City of Minneapolis for ALL public indoor places (May 29). We will not perform any services if clients refuse to wear a mask. Please bring your mask to your appointment. If you do not have your mask we will issue one for a $2 fee. Please wear your mask from the time you enter the building to the time you leave the building. If the service being performed requires the removal of the client’s face-covering additional measures must be implemented to further protect both the worker and the customer/client. Under these circumstances your service provider will wear a mask and a face shield during the entire service per instructions by MNOSHA.
Wash Your Hands or use Hand Sanitizer:
All clients are required to wash their hands with soap and warm water (minimum of 20 seconds) or use hand sanitizer at the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering the spa. Hands should also be sanitized at the end of your service. Hand sanitizer will be placed throughout the spa to encourage hand sanitization. Your service provider will also be washing their hands before any service and wearing gloves when the service allows.
Have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath? Please reschedule. We will be taking contactless temperature checks upon arrival of visits. We will also be taking temperature checks of all employees upon arrival to work. Before each appointment the COVID-19 Informed consent form and questionnaire will need to be filled out. The link to this form will be in your confirmation email. Please click the link and fill out BEFORE your appointment.
Please leave any non-essential personal items at home, or at best in the trunk of your car. Allow personal items to your phone and form of payment. A credit card is the preferred form of payment at this time.
Starting June 2nd our store hours will be:
Monday – Closed
Tuesday – Thursday 9am – 8pm
Friday 9am – 6pm
Saturday 10am – 4pm
Sunday 11am – 4pm
We will be working by APPOINTMENT ONLY. We have staggered shifts to reduce capacity and to ensure sufficient time for all sanitation protocols. We have also temporarily discontinued any service over 60-minutes to reduce exposure time. The best way to make and manage appointments is through our online booking system. We will have limited front desk staff on some days, so we will not always be available to answer your calls. You are welcome to leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Our front door will remain locked during business hours. Please do not come to your appointment early as we will not allow you in until your service provider is ready for you. Please wait in your car or outside and your service provider will call you when they are ready for you. Only guests receiving services will be allowed to enter our spa. Please do not bring other people to your appointment including children or family members.
If you do not have an appointment but would like to purchase products, either call us to place the order or place your order online. We are happy to ship products to you for $5 flat rate shipping or you can choose a time online when you would like to stop by and pick up the products.
Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we have modified our cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all of our clients. We hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule because you are not feeling well, we understand and request you to please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. For all other cancellation reasons, we require 24-hour notice. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations due to illness. However non-illness related cancelations without 24-hour cancellation notice will result in a 50% payment of the scheduled service fee. No call/No shows will be invoiced for 100% of the cost of their services. You may not return or schedule another appointment until the invoice is paid.
